Today
I'm a little tired and I think I'll just give a brief description of my day before hitting the hay. Anyway, today was slow... and boring. I mowed the yard of free (in order to pay my mom back) and I'll be the first to tell you that it was hot, hot, hot! I'm not great at driving a lawnmower (or about anything) so our lawn looks pretty bad right now. Before I actually got to mow the yard though I had to un-dogpoop it and ride it of all the unwanted twigs; a long, and tedious task as anyone who has seen the size of our lawn can believe. After that I didn't really do anything worth mentioning. I did however just get back from babysitting, it was fun as always. I love spending time with kids. ttfn!

Facial
Yesterday, my mom took me to some weird spa place to get a facial.
(She had bought a certificate for a facial at my school's auction.) Anyway, at first I wasn't sure I was going to like it, but I really didn't have a choice in the matter so I went along with it. The spa place, DeSpain Cayce, was very nice (and very expensive). They treat all kinds of patients there: people wanting a facial, skin cancer patients, and anything else to do with skin. After waiting in the lobby, a lady said they were ready to see me now. Dragging my mother along we walking into a small, but cozy little room with a tiny waterfall thingymabob and soft cushioned seats. During the facial they massaged, cleaned, rubbed, steamed, and poked my face until it was almost "glowing." Once all this was over they did a makeup application and tried to coax my mom into buying some really expensive makeup (she didn't give in.) Now I feel beautifully clean! Let's just say though I'm not going to be doing that again anytime soon unless my mom wins another certificate for a free facial.

Young Women's Night (Cute, Cute, and more Cute)
Tonight, for our young women's activity we designed, pieced together, and perfected beautiful flower-clips. They're adorable! I'm not sure if I'll wear them in my hair, but I will definitely be pinning one to my backpack or purse. Here's a peek at my lovely creations. Now go make one of your own!

Going to Las Vegas
The gambling city of all times: Las Vegas. My mother, crazy and adventurous as she is, has decided that she is going to Las Vegas. I'm not sure what prompted her to make such an extravagant decision like this, but I am telling you that she is not turning back. She's already booked a hotel, looked for shows to go to, and at this moment is checking plan tickets. Thankfully, she promises to take me and my brothers along with her. Regretfully, we have to go where SHE wants to go... and that does not include going to see the Blue Man Group perform (unfair? I know!) Anyway, my mom has this whole trip planned out in her head. First, she'll fly out with us to Las Vegas, stay there about 5-7 days, and then zip out to Salt Lake City to meet up with my dad so we can all visit his parents together. I'm not sure how this will end, but I'm in it to win it.
Fourth of July
Well it's that time of year, the day's are hotter then ever and the anticipation of grill'n hot dogs and shooting off fireworks is at an all time high. My little brother Andrew has already gone shopping for fireworks, and I can already hear fireworks going off at night. Summer, for me, is not my favorite time of the year. Hot, sweaty, and humid for some strange reason does not appeal to me. Though, there are aspects of the summertime that I do enjoy. For instances, the pool is a great place to soak of the heat and blissfully eating watermelon slices all day long is another bonus. Sunday, June 20, 2010
The Windy City
A city to be admired; home of the Cubs baseball team and the John Hancock Observatory. As a class field trip, me and my peers we able to partake on an adventure to the wild city of Chicago, IL. We had lots of fun, we ate at all the famous restaurants and visited jaw-dropping museums, we even took a quick trip to the Illinois Six Flags. I can't say when I've had more fun! Here's a few pictures of this mighty adventure.
