Wire Art

Nothing exciting is happening in my life right now so I think I'll just post a couple of cool pictures I found on Facebook. This guy uses wire and inanimate objects to create stories. Love his work, makes me crack up laughing every time I see these. Here's a few of my favorite pieces:

Cheney Clan Life

Today was Monday which naturally means the Cheney's are in for a FHE night. This evening my dad decided that we would watch a Mormon movie called 'Return with Honor.' It was pretty good (for an LDS film anyway) and I was happy that my family could actually get through the whole thing without too much conflict. Well... I am beat so I'm going to sign out for tonight, nothing else really exciting happened today so instead of boring you all I'm just going to leave this blog at that. Goodnight fellow blogians!

MJD (Mormon Joke of the Day) #2

LOL! This makes me feel un-mormonish seeing how I often  partake of devious caffeinated beverages (*gasp)

Homework Insanity

I feel like I can finally breathe. In my AP World History class we've been boggled down with loads of writing assignments that have been driving me insane. I think I've been up every night the last week studying and writing papers. AHHHHHHHH!!!!! However, I'm ready to put that HELL (Hallowed Educational Learning Legacies) of a week behind me for the sake of my mentality. I shall finally sleep tonight, and it won't be of Shogun daimyo either, it shall be something peaceful and non-school related. :)

Here's a poem for all my study buddies!

Homework I Love You
            by Kenn Nesbitt

Homework, I love you. I think that you’re great.
It’s wonderful fun when you keep me up late.
I think you’re the best when I’m totally stressed,
preparing and cramming all night for a test.

Homework, I love you. What more can I say?
I love to do hundreds of problems each day.
You boggle my mind and you make me go blind,
but still I’m ecstatic that you were assigned.

Homework, I love you. I tell you, it’s true.
There’s nothing more fun or exciting to do.
You’re never a chore, for it’s you I adore.
I wish that our teacher would hand you out more.

Homework, I love you. You thrill me inside.
I’m filled with emotions. I’m fit to be tied.
I cannot complain when you frazzle my brain.
Of course, that’s because I’m completely insane.

Flat Tire

Today, at approximately 4:10 disaster struck within my family's household. I am sorry to announce that the Cheney van has been burdened with a flat tire (*gasp!). As my mother was on her way to pick me up from school she turned the wheel too quickly and landed in a pot hole (*ouch) Luckily, our dear heroine was immediately saved by a sincere school faculty member who employed himself to the task of changing our tire. The hardest part of changing the tire though was the process in actually locating the spare. We had to uproot the mats on the floor in order to find a little flap that lifted up to show a screw in which you unbolted to lower the spare hidden beneath the car (*whew)  It took F O R E V E R. Anyway, we were happily back on the road an hour later. :)

At least we didn't have this kind of problem....

A Books Worm's Sentiments

Sometimes I like to reminisce about the time I spent reading the Harry Potter series for the first time. I always feel like a little bit of me dies when I finish reading a book for the first time. Whenever I reread a book my mind constantly nags me on how the book will end -- I never have the chance to relive the feelings I had when I first read it. All the mystery and anticipation is lost... It's enough to make any book worm's heart break.

What's I'm Listening to Right Now

  • Someone Like You - ADELE
  • Set Fire to the Rain - ADELE
  • Turning Table - ADELE
  • Rolling in the Deep - ADELE
  • Hometown Glory - ADELE
  • Tired - ADELE
  • My Same - ADELE
  • Make You Feel My Love - ADELE
  • Right as Rain - ADELE
  • First Love - ADELE
  • Melt My Heart to Stone - ADELE
  • Cold Shoulder - ADELE
  • Best for Last - ADELE
  • Daydreamer - ADELE
.... obsessed much? I think yes!

The World's A Stage

All the world's a stage,
And all the men and women merely players;
They have their exits and their entrances,
And one man in his time plays many parts,
His acts being seven ages.
